Monica, a Stanger/Kwadukuza native, has worked for LP Services since 1994. She credits Les Phillips, the owner, for exposing and teaching her, by example, everything she knows about construction and civil maintenance.

The business being her passion, Monica took it over with partner Freddy Chetty, after Les’ death in 2012.

The business was rebranded as LPS Construction. LPS Construction is a civil and maintenance contractor specializing in plumbing, carpentry, bricklaying, fencing, roofing, painting, tiling, ceilings, cupboards and concrete works, to name just a few.

LPS Construction currently has 8 permanent employees and +/- 20 sub-contractors.

As head of the business, Monica prides herself in being professional, ambitious and responsive – supported by good negotiating and networking skills, and an unwavering customer focus. Monica adds that she will be forever thankful to Les Phillips for assisting her to become a skillful, decisive and self-confident leader.
