Zinge Afrika is the brainchild of Catherine Wangu Wanjohi, a mother of 3 children. Zinge Afrika was born out of talent, and a passion, that developed during Catherine’s voluntary work in South African townships approximately 2 years ago.

Zinge Afrika designs clothes and accessories using raw materials such as beads, feathers, leather, sisal and recycled materials, all of which is sourced locally. Catherine is currently working with a team of seamstresses and young women specializing in bead work.

Zinge Afrika strives to be the facilitators of change by cutting waste and reducing our carbon footprint by using as much recycled and organic materials as possible. It wants to create an authentic brand that provides growth and opportunities for its employees, whilst building a fashion label, for the future, here in Africa.
